Woland

  • German name for the devil (appears as Faland in German)
  • Also the devil in the story Faust (see reference). The description of Woland is very similar to that in Faust, including the different eyes and eyebrows. In M&M, the Master notes these similarities to Homeless in the insane asylum (page 152).
